The X-3 is an excellent shotgun mic with real world features. I’m using it conjunction with Canon XA-A camcorders that provide Phantom Power. It can also be battery powered.
The sound quality is excellent.
The included accessories are all professional grade. I especially like the ‘Dead Cast” windscreen. BTW, the power light on this microphone instantly confirms that it is getting power. This feature would be very important for anyone using battery power.
I would certainly buy this again.
